Title: Director, Cancer Epidemiology, Data Products

ConcertAI is an evidence generation company engaged in retrospective and prospective research to support regulatory submissions and healthcare providers in treatment decisions and evidence-based practice.  Over the last three years, the Company has grown tremendously to become a leader in the oncology, hematology, and urology Real-World Evidence field.  We utilize RWD/RWE to inform insights into the narrow patient cohorts likely to receive the most benefit from new medicines. We aid in the design of clinical trials, support early and consultative regulatory conversations and contribute to RWE analyses supporting regulatory submissions. ConcertAI is embarking on programs with new levels of patient disease depth and scale, complemented with data science expertise. Our goal is for our approach to become the reference standard for RWD, supporting advanced evidence generation and adding the highest utility to consultative and formal regulatory decisions.

 

Summary:

The ideal candidate will have advanced epidemiological skills and understanding of real-world data; real-world evidence analyses and study designs. This position has responsibility for the overall scientific strategy for data elements in existing or new data products in their cancer area of expertise. This individual will have significant interactions with key RWD customers (current and prospective); ConcertAI business development for advancing with new data partners as the product roadmap may find required; and with the company’s technology product managers in assurance of aligned and coordinated capabilities that supports both organization GTM and financial objectives.

 

This role reports to the Chief Data Officer and is an individual contributor.

 Responsibilities:

  • Overarching responsibility as scientific lead for all RWD Products in area of expertise: 
    • RWD products (Patient360, Genome360, RWD360) and bespoke cohorts
  • Ownership of the data strategy framework for products in the area of expertise
  • Evaluation of clinical & scientific literature to ensure alignment of data and data cohorts to current and future areas of research
  • Obtain and evaluate customer proposed data enhancements by working closely with the sales and scientific teams, curation team, partnership team, and direct client engagement.
  • Continuous assessment around internal and external projects requiring data and evaluation to determine if their specifications should advance the standard product
  • Working relationship with provider data partners
  • Evaluation of new data sources specific to this therapeutic area
  • Identification and onboarding of external KOLs to advise on clinical issues as required
  • Development and execution of a publication roadmap to advance key use cases in the area of expertise

Requirements

  • Scientific or clinical background in oncology (Preferably in Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer or Hematology)
  • Scientific expertise with a degree in the life sciences field – Ph.D. preferred but not required, ideally Cancer Epidemiologist with strong research record
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
