Role Summary
This role presents an exciting opportunity to not only become an expert in our industry-leading RWD assets, products and solutions, but to develop and implement new analyses that will streamline the way that we field data analysis requests from customers helping them to more quickly extract value and realize the data’s full potential.

ConcertAI seeks a growth-oriented individual as its new RWD Data Analyst. The analyst will work closely with ConcertAI’s customer-facing team to turn data into critical insights used to improve new and existing customers’ success. He or she will provide data that is accurate and reliable. The analyst will educate and train ConcertAI’s customers to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new form and content for the purpose of analysis and exploring options. Starting from reporting out on existing data, the analyst will be expected to turn requests into output which meet up-to-date customer needs.

This role will also regularly work with data scientists in Data Products and other teams though the predominant focus will be on customer-originated requests to help the Data Products team drive improvement in customer experience and its ability to continue to communicate key changes in a timely manner to its customers. The analyst will interact with various product management and development teams, project managers, account leads, senior management, and external vendors and customers on a routine basis. This individual must understand how data is turned into insights that can promote understanding and useability and the formation of organizational tools to build upon these insights. He or she develops an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possesses both strong analytical and communication skills. The analyst must enjoy asking questions, testing assumptions, and making sense of messy healthcare data. Further, the analyst must work and communicate well within a team environment.

  • Apply data analysis skills to support customer-originated requests in their use of the data for both simple, quick turn-around and complex, more sophisticated analyses
  • Partner with US and international colleagues to build processes and knowledge sharing capabilities
  • Develop strategies and processes to create and maintain knowledge bases and algorithms/business rules to increase data usability by customers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand client analytics goals, needs, and objectives and help ensure that the data can meet and exceed expectations
  • Align customers and internal teams in their approach to querying key variables integral to routine and sometimes complex clinical data analysis
  • Design database queries and conduct analyses to help product managers build a relevant body of documentation for customers to promote ease-of-use
  • Respond to ad hoc internal requests from customers and cross-company (data scientists on Data Products and other teams) to support understanding and use of the data
  • Generate processes to track, prioritize, organize, and communicate information to internally and to customers around our RWD assets, products, and solutions
  • Develop a strong understanding of RWD needs and objectives and of our ability to add-value in a particular situation to customer-originated requests
  • Track and triage potential data quality and codification issues that may impact customers
  • Support data and analytical onboarding sessions with customers
  • Evaluate and improve existing Data Products systems for a rapidly growing organization

  • Background in data analysis, including a degree in Computer Science, a STEM field with extensive use of coding skills, a specialized data analysis training/certification, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge and experience querying databases (SQL preferred) and database analytics tools (Python preferred)
  • Experience with data pipeline dependencies, especially the process involved in transforming often messy healthcare data by cleaning, codifying, de-identifying, etc. is a plus
  • Some research/analytics experience in a pharmaceutical or health-related academic environment is a plus
  • Experience with data using cloud technology (e.g., Redshift, Docker) is a plus
  • Ability to gather, organize, analyze, communicate, and present data
  • Experience with advanced Excel functionality
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership, and management ability
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
