Profile:
“The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment is a field operating agency for Air Force MILCON (Military Construction) worldwide. AFCEE provides integrated construction, engineering and environmental management, execution, and technical services that optimize Air Force and Joint capabilities through sustainable installations.”
Challenge:
“Identified as the largest DoD (Department of Defense) project in 2009, the challenge was to meet the objective of the Air Force to relocate and provide all new furnishings and equipment for over 1,900 people within 20 months in a largely vacant, unimproved 450,000 sq. ft. facility in Port San Antonio, Texas.”
Packaged Solution:
“Inscape’s dealer, Concert Architectural Interiors, was instrumental in winning this project. They were selected as a ‘packaged furniture services’ contractor to provide management, procurement and installation of furnishings. Within a week of being awarded the contract, Concert met end users with initial plan drawings for immediate review. They met the project’s unprecedented schedule while maintaining outstanding customer service and relationships.”
