If you went to Promat 2011 from March 21-24 this year in Chicago, you may have seen Spacesaver at Booth 3098 showing off the features and benefits of the new ActivRAC system!
The ActivRAC storage system is a High-Density Mobile Pallet Racking solution designed for the Warehousing, Manufacturing/Distribution and Logistics environments. In Modern Materials Handling article, “Spacesaver Rolls Out New Storage System,” the features and benefits of the ActivRAC storage system are described:
“With this storage solution, otherwise stationary (or fixed) rows of pallet racking are mounted on carriages and mobilized. The carriages, which can be equipped with shelving and cabinets, travel on wheels mated to a rail system. By moving side to side, the system is able to eliminate aisles and compress the stored material into a much smaller footprint while providing 100% access to product in the system when needed.”
Interesting Fact: ActivRAC is not only a space saving solution, it is energy-efficient too! It can move up to 8 tons with a single one-quarter horsepower motor.
